Hello, Japanese mayonnaise is available from Coles and Woolworths stores, at least in the Newcastle area, in the Asian foods aisle and is sold under the brand name of Kewpie. I have also found a recipe elsewhere on the internet for tonkatsu sauce.
this receipe looks very nice and easy-to-cook. Definitely wothy a try tonight, thanks to bring this to us~
Japanese Mayonnaise can usually be found in the asain section of a regular grocery store (coles, woolies, etc). it has a red lid and has a plastic wrapping and a picture of a baby on it. i think its called Kewpie mayonnaise
tried this recipe tonight using a "homemade" marinara mix from Capalaba seafoods which has salmon, fish, octopus, prawns etc in it - was delicious! glad we tried this one!
Very nice. Very nice indeed. I cooked these for our family last night and every one enjoyed them. I wondered what to have with them and chose potato chips. I have only one complaint. I was unable to obtain Japanese mayonnaise and tonkatsu sauce. I tried Safeway, a health food shop, a chicken deli, a general deli and a fish retailer. I was informed that I would need to go to the Springvale Market to obtain both those items. Maybe the program might like to look at the availability of ingredients. All the same, well done on a simple and easy recipe`.
