Dove Pink Star Walk

Now a permanent fixture on the pink calendar, the third Dove Pink Star Walk will take place on Saturday 25th October 2008 beneath a starlit Sydney sky.

In aid of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), people from all ages and walks of life will be encouraged to participate in the fun 5km walk. Proceeds help to fund research for prevention and cure, whilst acknowledging the 2,500 women that die of Breast Cancer each year in Australia.

The Dove Pink Star Walk kicks off at 8pm and for the first time, will begin at Government House in the Royal Botanic Gardens. It then follows a beautiful scenic route past the Opera House and Circular Quay, finishing at dazzling Darling Harbour. Get there early and join us for a fun filled entertainment schedule. Special guests and artists to be announced closer to the date.

All participants can do their bit to help; having the opportunity to be sponsored or wearing something pink, such as a t-shirt, accessories or hat. In addition, you can get into the theme of the breast cancer cause and wear a decorated pink bra (on top of your clothing is ok too)! There will be prizes awarded on the night for the best costumes and for those adopting the pink spirit, plus entertainment throughout the evening to cheer you on until everyone is well over the finish line!
