Terms & Conditions of entry
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.
The promotion is open to readers of The Australian Women’s Weekly aged 18 years and over.. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. Promotion commences August 10, 2009 at 3pm and closes on September 22, 2009 at 11:59pm. To enter simply log onto www.aww.ninemsn.com.au/cokeminibreak and clearly nominate the state in which you would best like to take your mini break (NSW/ QLD/ VIC/ WA/ SA).and then tell us in 25 words or less “Tell us why your family needs a mini-break’., provide your contact details as requested. Submit your completed entry as instructed.
3. Prior to judging, all entries will be split into their respective categories to ensure each entrant has a fair and equal opportunity of winning. The promotion will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The judging will take place at the Promoters premises. Judging will begin at 3pm AEST on September 23, 2009. Judges’ decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and binding on all who enter and no correspondence will be entered into. This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit.
4. Only one entry per person permitted.
5. Total prize pool valued at $21,798
The best entry in each category will be deemed the winner and will receive the following prize winning “mini break”.:
NSW: 4 night stay at The Sebel Kirkton Park Hunter Valley valued at $2792. This prize includes $2000 travel expenses (awarded in the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner, and 4 nights shared accommodation for up to four people at The Sebel Kirkton Park Hunter Valley (valued up to $792 depending on rates at time of redemption).
QLD: 4 night stay at The Sebel Resort, Noosa valued at $3196 This prize includes $2000 travel expenses (awarded in the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner, and 4 nights accommodation at the The Sebel Resort, Noosa (valued up to $1196 depending on rates at time of redemption).
VIC: 4 night stay at the Quay West Resort, Falls Creek, valued at $2,960. This prize includes $2000 travel expenses (awarded in the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner, and 4 nights accommodation at the Quay West Resort, Falls Creek (valued up to $960 depending on rates at time of redemption).
WA: 4 night stay at Quay West Resort Bunker Bay, WA, valued at $3000 This prize includes $2000 travel expenses (awarded in the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner, and 4 nights accommodation at the Quay West Resort Bunker Bay, WA (valued up to $1000 depending on rates at time of redemption) (please note: valid for redemption– Sunday to Thursday only).
SA: 4 night stay at The Sebel Playford Adelaide, SA, valued at $3400 This prize includes $2000 travel expenses (awarded in the form of a cheque made in favour of the winner, and 4 nights accommodation at The Sebel Playford Adelaide SA (valued up to $1400 depending on rates at time of redemption).
Accommodation component of prize is based on shared accommodation for a maximum of 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) and is subject to book and availability. Rates stated are as provided by prize supplier and are correct as at 8 July 2009. Accommodation component of prize must be taken on consecutive nights and must be redeemed in full by 30 June 2010. Any extension to the duration of the prize is at the winner’s sole expense and subject to availability at the time of booking. Cost of any additional people/ extension to the stay will be charged at the usual rates at the time of redemption and will be the responsibility of the winner. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be requested to present their credit card upon arrival at the hotel to cover all incidentals they may incur including their stay at the hotel. Redemption of accommodation component of the prize is subject to the standard business guidelines of the prize supplier. Redemption of accommodation component of the prize is not available during peak seasons. Dates of peak season are available from respective accommodation venue/hotel.
RUNNERS UP
The next 20 best entries in each category will be deemed Runners up and will each receive an exclusive Escape Pack valued at $64.50. Each pack includes the following
- Coca-Cola Mini pack valued at $7.00
- 3 month subscription to The Australian Women’s Weekly valued at $17.50
- $40 fuel voucher.
Prizes do not include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize. These are the responsibility of the winners. The prizes are valued in Australian dollars. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize. In the event that a portion of the prize is awarded to the winner in the form of a voucher/ ticket/ pass/ letter, redemption of that portion of the prize will be subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher/ ticket/ pass/letter. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher /ticket/ pass/letter that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. The subscription component of the Runners up prize will be awarded to the entrant and the subscription will be sent to the address stipulated on the winners entry. The fuel voucher component of the prize will be redeemable at participating outlets as stipulated by the fuel provider. Fuel provider used will be determined by the Promoter in its complete discretion.
6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail.
7. If for any reason this competition is not capable or running as planned including (but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, unauthorised intervention or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion (subject to reference to all relevant rules and regulations).
8. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
9. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) redemption of the prize and/or (g) participation in the promotion.
10. By entering the competition and providing an email address, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s and Coca Cola [insert full legal name here] other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.
11. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion are governed by the Privacy Notice.
