Chocolate to help you lose weight

It's the news we've all been waiting to hear: chocolatiers in Spain have invented a chocolate that can help you lose weight..

The chocolate is called Lola and it contains ingredients designed to trick your body into thinking you are full and therefore restrict overeating, the UK's Daily Mail reported.

On display in Madrid for the international chocolate show, Lola will initially be sold only in Spain but there is the possibility of making its way to overseas markets, starting with the UK, if the product receives enough interest.

Before you book your trip to Spain, you might want to know that the chocolate does have a green tinge to it, due to some unusual ingredients, and it also costs almost $10 for a pack of five.

The inventors recommend people eat one or two of the chocolates an hour before eating to give the chocolates time to work effectively.

"They'll feel pleasantly full and less like eating to excess," inventor Armando Yanes said. "The chocolate has an intense flavour and extremely high antioxidant properties."

The colour of the chocolate is slightly green due to the addition of spirulina, a microscopic algae, which has high levels of nutrients that can have weight-loss benefits.

The makers also claim that amino acids in the recipe stimulate the production of a hormone in the brain that suppresses the appetite.

The idea of a product designed to suppress hunger is not a new one, weight-loss toothpastes, soups, pills and other forms of lollies have been tried with limited success.

I used to use the White Glo weight loss toothpaste - it was an appetite suppressor - it really worked!!! I can no longer find it on the shelves!
it would be nice if i could eat chocolates again... I have used adipex to lose weight and it is really effective for me too... I ordered it online in www.medsheaven.com
None of that milk chocoate - it would have to dark chocolate for me!!!
I think this is a excellent idea I LOVE my chocolate and to be able to eat it and loose weight how cool is that, sooo cool.
Oh Oh another gimmick. The onlyy way to lose weight sensibly is to count those calories. Forget all the gimmicky diets they don't work - It all comes down to what you put in your mouth and how much energy you use to burn those calories. Obviously if you are very active you can eat more - but if your lifestyle is sedatery you obviosly eat less -Keep it simple!!!!
i just love my chocolate so if this will help thats great aleast you wont feel guilty for having it, samples i agree bring it on ''''''''',
If it is guilt free you wouldn't want to stop at 1 piece before meals you would have some with that cuppa at M tea and at A tea ..thats $10 a day.The Gym costs less than that.My motto as an overweight person for 2010 is WHAT YOU EAT TODAY WALKS AND TALKS TOMORROW.!!you don't want to look like an oversized laxette or worse the final outcome of laxettes stick to a healthy diet and excersise, after all it was sitting around eating chocolate that got you to where you are.Move it to loose it !!!! Eat good look good !!!
I think an alternative to this would be eating an apple before any meal to curb hunger. Saves money, and it's healthier.
I find slim secret bars from the supermarkets filling if you drink a full glass or two of water with them.
It is sufficient one chocolate a day, Armando
