Doggy daycare

Walk into Vet HQ in Sydney and you might think it was a daycare centre, the only difference being that it’s full of dogs, not children.

Set up just like a childcare centre, this innovative vet clinic provides a service that more pet owners are demanding – someone to look after their pets during the day.

Dog daycare centres allow dogs to hang out with other dogs because, as pack animals, their natural state is to be with others. The result is happier, better adjusted dogs with fewer behaviour issues.

Ask your vet to recommend a centre – and visit it before you make a decision, just as you would a childcare centre.
