Pooch swallows nine golf balls
An X-ray of Bertie the dog from Essex, England, has revealed a strange case of doggie digestion.

Bertie had swallowed nine golf balls while on daily morning walks with owners Mark and Michelle Jewell.

The Jewells took Bertie to the Clarendon House Veterinary Centre after they noticed he was walking oddly. During an examination, vet John Matthews realised there was indeed something wrong.

"We were absolutely flabbergasted when we saw Bertie's X-ray," veterinary centre employee Emily Nightingale told the UK's Daily Telegraph.

"His stomach could have easily ruptured from the pressure of all of the golf balls, which could have been fatal."

During two-hour surgery to remove the balls, surgeons also removed a bullet that was lodged in the fat surrounding his stomach. Bertie's owners were not aware that their pooch had been the victim of a shooting.

I have a Chocolate Burmese cat named Lily. She is 12mths old and loves eating soxes!! She carries them around the house, brings them to bed then sits and chews off bits & eats them. If she doesn't have her 'own' sock she rummages thru any clothes or washing that is not locked up. She also chews off any ties on clothing, shoe laces everything has to be put out of her way - fortunately she passes it thru in a few days. We are just hoping it all comes thru!! She is fed Royal Chanin & Hill's Science Diet. Will eat fresh lightly cooked fish & uncook steak Cat Milk. Loves Corn on the Cob! Is she lacking something in her diet? Does anyone know? We would like to stop the sox problem as she doesn't discriminate with old ones & good ones, clean or dirty!
That must be the dumbest dog! How did he even swallow it?!
