Uhm, just a quick question. How can you tell if the pasta or recipe you are cooking is Puttanesca? what must the dish have for it to be classified as one? Thanks!
Tastes awesome, I added some pepperoni and halved the anchovy amount. Tastes great with a sweet red.
why dont you put chocolate on it? all kids love chocolate! especially with pasta...yummmo
Try adding either quartered chicken breasts or chicken wings and drums... Adds a bit more substance
This recipe definitely requires chilli even if it is just a hint. If your tomato base isn't sweet enough (or you use tinned tomatoes like me) then you may need to add some sugar to lift it. Alternatively a bit of tomato sauce can achieve this. If you find the sauce feels a bit heavy then it can be lifted with a splash of red wine vinegar. I also use some dried oregano during the cooking process and whilst I have tried this recipe before with Parsley, I found it no good. Fresh Basil added at the very end really takes this to another level.
I often add tuna to a puttanesca for a little more protein, still tastes awsome!
the name sugest it's hot and beautyfull with some chilli to taste cheese it's a sauce you can have lots of ways to every indevidual beuetyfull and tasty.
this dish looks really great. I`ll definitely have to give it a shot this weekend. Thanks for the great recipe www.blogdinner.com
Delicious but kid friendly? C'mon... how many average kids enjoy anchovy, capers, garlic and olives. Its a great dish, so no need to sell it as something it isn't.
Instead of chilli, try hot and spicy salmi or metwurst! DELICIOUS!
