Microwave beef stroganoff

Why slave over a hot stove when you can get the microwave to do the hard work.
INGREDIENTS

500g rump steak
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
60g butter
250g mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup plain flour
1 cup beef stock
1 tablespoon dry sherry
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
METHOD

Cut steak into fine strips. Combine onion, garlic and butter in dish, cook in microwave on HIGH 3 minutes or until onion is tender. Add mushrooms, cook on HIGH 2 minutes. Toss steak in flour, add to dish with stock, sherry and sauces. Cook on HIGH 5 minutes, reduce to MEDIUM HIGH, cook 15 minutes or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in sour cream, serve with rice or noodles.

Serves 4.
