Trinidad rum punch
INGREDIENTS

4 cups water
2 cups caster sugar
1 cup lime juice
3 cups dark rum
10 shakes angostura bitters
1 cup crushed ice
nutmeg, to sprinkle
lime slices, to garnish
METHOD

To make sugar syrup, place water and sugar in a medium saucepan. Stir over a low heat until sugar dissolves, bring to boil. Remove from heat and refrigerate until chilled.

Place chilled syrup and remaining ingredients in a large jug, stir well.

Pour into chilled glasses and sprinkle with nutmeg. Garnish with lime slices.
