Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are said to have married for all the wrong reasons, but these pictures prove the couple really did love each other once.

Their infatuation is evident in early pictures that show a couple who can't keep their eyes, hands or lips off each other.

But after a few years and a child together, their feelings changed – and it was all reflected in Katie's body language.

These images show the rise and fall of TomKat's relationship and have us wondering why we didn't see the split coming years ago.
