Fashion is usually dominated by half-starved 20-somethings but at the 2012 Emmy Awards, the more mature women stole the show.

A glamorous group of older actresses, led by Julianne Moore, 51, Julianna Margulies, 46, and Sofia Vergara, 40, left their younger counterparts for dead in the style stakes.

Julianne is our pick for best-dressed, looking lovely in a full-length yellow Christian Dior gown, while sexy Sofia is a close second in her figure-hugging Zuhair Murad dress.
