Anne Hathaway addresses pregnancy rumours

Anne Hathaway's stomach is flatter than ever, but that didn't stop pregnancy rumours becoming the talk of the Golden Globes today.

The red carpet was abuzz with rumours Anne, 30, was expecting her first child with new husband Adam Shulman after TV presenter Giuliana Rancic twice speculated that the actress was pregnant in a pre-awards special last night.

Anne cut a svelte figure as she posed for photographs in a white corset and skirt but didn't comment on the rumours, sending baby gossip into overdrive.

The hysteria didn't last long however — Anne's agent quickly and categorically denied the actress was with child in a statement to the UK's Daily Mail.

"She's not pregnant," Anne's spokesperson Stephen Huvane said.

Giuliana first reported the baby rumours in a countdown to the red carpet special that aired in the US on Sunday night.

"Rumours are that Anne Hathaway may be pregnant," Giuliana said. "That's the buzz on the street right now, which, if true that may be the ultimate award season good luck charm.

"Just ask Natalie Portman who two years swept the award season for her work in Black Swan while she was pregnant with her first child.

"Also Rachel Weisz had a bump while picking up hardware for The Constant Gardener in 2006 and Catherine Zeta Jones in 2003, who was just about ready to pop."

Anne married actor Adam in September 2012 and she has frequently spoken about her desire to start a family.

"I'd like to have a few children, naturally and adopt," she told the January issue of UK Harper's Bazaar.

"I gotta get on it. I'd like to have as many as I can afford. I've had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie. Now I might have to say: get a baby."
