HOW TO ENTER
To be eligible to enter, consumers must purchase The Australian Women’s Weekly November issue, on sale 28/10/09. Consumers must then, write their full name, address details and contact phone number on the back of a stamped addressed envelope and send to “The Australian Women’s Weekly EMT Promotion”, PO Box 421 Eastern Suburbs MC NSW 2004. All entries must be received by last mail on 30/11/09. TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms & Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Entry is only open to consumers who (a) are Australian residents; (b) are aged 18 years or over; and (c) purchase an Australian Women’s Weekly November issue during the promotional period. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

4. Only one (1) entry permitted per person.

5. Promotion commences 28/10/09. Entries close last mail received on 30/11/09. The draw for the winner will take place at Direct Response, Unit D 65 Reserve Road ARTARMON NSW 2064 on 07/12/09 at 9am (Sydney time). The Winner will be notified by mail and the name of major prize winner will be published in The Australian on 14/12/09. Promoter’s decision is final in relation to all aspects of the promotion is final and binding on all who enter no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.

7. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

8. The prizes are as follows;
The first valid entry drawn will win the international prize valued at $15,000 which includes: Return economy class flights for two people to Edinburgh, and Seven nights shared accommodation for two people staying at a designated 3 star hotel decided by the Promoter. Winners must be willing to stay in designated hotel. Winners must have a current valid passport or be able to apply and receive one before time of travel. This prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Spending money, and all other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are the responsibility of the winner.. The prize includes Tickets to EMT (Edinburgh Military Tattoo) at Edinburgh Castle .The total prize pool is valued at $15,000. All components of the prize are subject to booking availability. Winners must book their travel plans with EMT Travel Department Sydney by 15 February 2010. Winners must be able to travel between 6 – 28 August 2010 to coincide with the event. All components of the prize must be taken together. Flights are applicable from winners closest capital city. Winners must be willing to travel on designated airline. The prize does not include airport transfers. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or special offers. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner presents their credit card upon arrival at the resort to cover all incidentals they may incur during their stay at the resort. Both the winner and their travelling companion must fly to and from the same location. Prize must be taken as a package and must be taken as stated by the Promoter. Redemption of prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions and business guideline of the airline carrier and the accommodation venue. The promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of current valid passport, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter. The next five valid entries drawn will each win a national prize (runners up prize) valued at $4,000 which includes: Return economy class flights for two people to Sydney, and 1 x two night accommodation & breakfast for two people staying at a designated 4 star CBD Sydney hotel decided by the promoter on Friday 5 February 2010 & Saturday 6 February 2010. Winners must be willing to stay in designated hotel. This prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Spending money, and all other ancillary costs are the winner’s responsibility. The prize includes Premium tickets to EMT Sydney on the evening of Saturday 6 February2010 and money can’t buy behind the scenes tours. The total prize pool is valued at $4,000. All components of the prize are subject to booking availability. Winners must book their travel plans with EMT Travel Department Sydney by 15 December 2010. Winners must Fly to Sydney 5 February 2010 and depart Sydney 7 February 2010. All components of the prize must be taken together. Flights are applicable from winner’s closest capital city. Winners must be willing to travel on designated airline. The prize does not include airport transfers. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or special offers. 9. Spending money, additional accommodation, transport to and from departure point, insurance, additional meals, mini bar costs, luggage or any travel visas required are not included in the prize. All other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are not included in the prize and are the responsibility of the winner and must be paid at time of booking. Prize will be awarded in the form of a letter. Bookings will be made by Promoter and winner will need to provide letter as proof at time of redemption.

10. If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

11. The total prize pool is $35,000. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

12. If for any reason a winner does not redeem an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.

13. A draw for any unclaimed prizes that remain still valid may take place on 07/03/10 at the same place as the original draws, at 11:00am (Sydney time), subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners of prizes valued over $250 will have their names published in The Australian on 04/03/10.

14. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

15. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms & Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) participation in the promotion.

16. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Unless otherwise advised, the Promoter may also use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, for an indefinite period, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
