It seems even the most powerful man in the world has to answer to the fashion police.

After wearing jeans to throw the first pitch at Major League Baseball's all-star game in St Louis, Missouri, Barack Obama was chastised on the US Today show about his choice of clothing.

Obama wore loose-fitting denim jeans with sneakers and a sports jacket. Fashion and sports fraternities united to question the President's outfit choice.

Fashionistas asked, "What on earth was he thinking?", and online communities were rife with criticism of the President's baseball pitch, many blaming the jeans.

"I'm a little frumpy … I hate to shop, those jeans are comfortable," President Obama said on the Today show. "For those of you who want your president to look great in his tight jeans I'm sorry, I'm not the guy!"

If people minde their own busnes there would be more peace in the world.
He looks great, comfy in the jeans and his own skin. Confident without being up himself. Some of these fashion critics should have a good look at themselves before giving anyone else a hard time.
Can't the president wear jeans. Gosh you people make out like its the end of the fashion world. Jeans are jeans, do you really expect him to walk out onto that field wearing his everyday attire, suited up, I don't think so. Give the president a break, his doing such a good job at the moment, criticizing about what he wears to a game is utterly RIDICULOUS!.

He couldn't look bad, even if he tried - yum - plus brains, what a bonus. They make a great couple.
There are much more important things to worry about. He is tackling world issues. It was a populist grab anyway- let him get on with helping to change to world.
I think he looks fantastic in the jeans. I don't understand what the fuss is about. Would they rather he spent thousands of dollars on a designer or perfectly tailored outfit for a 3 minute apperance throwing a ball?
I am really comfortable in my trackpants, however as I wear these to work everyday, I want to dress up a little... Jeans for a casual occasion and glam for the rest!!! If your job demands a little more physical activity you should dress for the occasion, if I were in Obama's role I would have gone for trackpants....
Leave him alone hypocrites fashion commentators. What's the fuss anyway. What do we want him to wear in a baseball game, a tight and skinny leg jeans. You look so good and great Mr. President keep it up.
He may be the president but he is also just another guy - would you pick anyone else about their jeans. Nice to know he is just one of us
