How to protect your skin from the sun

Question: I enjoy being out and about during summer but I’m conscious about not getting sunburnt this year. What do you suggest?

Answer:

I would recommend having a look at the website www.skincancer.gov.au which has lots of useful tips on how to stay safe in the sun.

Otherwise, there are various ways you can protect yourself from the harmful effects of the sun.

Try these five simple tips:

  • Make sure you wear 30+ sunscreen
  • Wear wrap around sunglasses to protect your eyes
  • Wear a hat to protect the top of your head
  • Wear something that covers your body
  • And last but not least, stay in the shade!
